Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams is coming off a breakout game in Week 1, but his status was up in the air during the week ahead of the Week 2 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
Williams popped up on the injury report with an ankle issue and he failed to log any full practices this week, instead turning in limited sessions before he was listed as questionable.
However, both NFL insider Jordan Schultz and ESPN's Adam Schefter are reporting that Williams is expected to play on Sunday against the Bucs. There has been no indication Williams will have a limited workload, either.
Williams had a breakout game in Week 1, totaling a career-high 121 receiving yards on five catches, including a 52-yard touchdown grab that saw him absolutely torch Los Angeles Rams cornerback Tre'Davious White.
After an impressive offseason, Williams was pegged by many as a potential breakout player for 2024, and so far he's on track to deliver. He'll look to keep the good times rolling on Sunday.
The Lions and Bucs will meet at Ford Field in Week 2, with kickoff set for 1 p.m. ET. You can check out all the viewing information right here.
