The Detroit Lions made a total of four roster moves on Sunday, and with them came some bad news for one of the team's standout undrafted free agents from preseason Week 1.
The Lions announced on Sunday that they have placed UDFA defensive end Nate Lynn on injured reserve. Head coach Dan Campbell confirmed that the William & Mary product will indeed miss the entire season, although his exact injury wasn't immediately disclosed.
That is absolutely crushing news for Lynn, who was fantastic in his NFL debut against the New York Giants in preseason Week 1 after tallying a team-high five pressures and one sack.
Nate Lynn, who was pretty electric in the preseason opener, is going to be done with a season-ending injury, according to Campbell.

Along with that move, the Lions waived offensive lineman Connor Galvin with an injury designation after he suffered a torn MCL during Thursday's exhibition opener. He will likely revert back to injured reserve.
Taking Galvin's and Lynn's spots on the roster are offensive lineman Jamarco Jones, whose signing was announced on Saturday, and linebacker Abraham Beauplan.
Jones is best known for his issues with the Tennessee Titans. He signed with the team in 2022 and after missing his first season there due to injury, Jones was in line for a starting spot at right tackle before being kicked off the team for starting fights in training camp.
He offers the Lions a much-needed depth option that can play at both guard and tackle. However, he hasn't taken a snap in the NFL since 2021, when he played for the Seattle Seahawks, the team that drafted him in 2019. Jones played in 36 games (seven starts) for Seattle over three seasons.
Beauplan gives the Lions another body at linebacker. He was most recently with the Minnesota Vikings but has never taken a snap in the NFL.
