Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell was not present for rookie minicamp last week, but he is now back in the building for the start of organized team activities, which the Lions kicked off on Tuesday.
The session was not open to the media but included in the team's photos was a shot of the head coach, who wasn't around for rookie minicamp due to a personal matter, an absence the team said was planned.
Another notable photo in the bunch was of linebacker Derrick Barnes, who appeared to be full go. That's important because Barnes suffered a knee injury during last season's NFC Championship Game that knocked him out early.
The photos, some of which can be seen below, also gave us a look at some of the team's newest players, including cornerback Carlton Davis, who was acquired via trade this offseason. We also saw several notable players taking part, including quarterback Jared Goff and wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.

The Lions are slated to hit the practice field again on Wednesday and Thursday before getting a handful of days off. It remains to be seen when the first open session of OTAs will be, but we'll have full coverage whenever it comes.
