The Detroit Lions are reportedly set to lose their senior director of football administration to the Washington Commanders.
According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, Brandon Sosna, who has been in his aforementioned role for the past two years, is being hired to an unspecified, high-ranking front-office role.
Sosna would be the second executive the Lions are losing to Washington after former senior director of player personnel, Lance Newmark, also left for the franchise.
Before joining the Lions, the 31-year-old previously served as USC's chief of staff. Per the Lions' official website, Sosna "oversees the strategic planning and management of the salary cap as the team's primary contract negotiator."
Detroit recently made a front office hire of its own, bringing aboard former Las Vegas Raiders director of pro scouting, Dwayne Joseph, who is taking an unspecified high-level front-office role.
In addition to Joseph, the Lions also hired longtime Tennessee Titans area scout Tom Roth. His exact role remains unknown, also.
