The Indianapolis Colts signed 11 players to the practice squad, the team announced Wednesday.
Among those joining the initial wave of practice squad is one of the Day 3 picks from the 2024 NFL Draft.
Here's a look at the 11 players the Colts signed to the practice squad on Wednesday:
- LB Austin Ajiake
- LB Liam Anderson
- DE Genard Avery
- QB Jason Bean
- S Marcel Dabo
- RB Evan Hull
- CB Chris Lammons
- WR D.J. Montgomery
- CB Jaylin Simpson
- CB Ameer Speed
- WR Laquon Treadwell
The Colts still have five more spots to fill on the practice squad — six if they get an international exemption for Dabo.
According to the transaction wire, Avery, Treadwell and Lammons are listed as veteran signings. The Colts have the ability to sign three more veterans on the practice squad if they choose.
Simpson was among the three 2024 draft picks waived at roster cuts, along with cornerback Micah Abraham and defensive tackle Jonah Laulu. The latter was claimed by the Las Vegas Raiders while Abraham remains a free agent as of this writing.
The Colts will make several practice squad moves throughout the roster, but this will make up the majority of the foundation as the 2024 season commences.
