The Indianapolis Colts have made their initial roster cuts to get down to 53 players, and the waiver claims will be made by noon ET on Wednesday.
After that, it will be time to fill out the practice squad.
Likely a mix of players they waived and some new additions, the Colts will be looking to fill out their 16-man practice squad over the next few days.
Here's a look at the practice squad specifics for 2024:
- As many as 16 players on its practice squad
- Up to 10 players with two or fewer accrued seasons
- Up to six veterans (no limit on accrued seasons)
- Teams can elevate up to two practice squad players for each game. A practice squad player can be elevated a maximum of three times during the season. After maximizing a player's elevations, the team must sign said player to the active roster if he's to be available on game days.
- Teams can sign players from another team's practice squad directly to their active roster. They cannot sign a practice squad player of a different to their own practice squad.
It should be noted that nothing is official until the team announces the signings so it’s best to take everything with a grain of salt until then.
We will have all the information you need when it comes to tracking the signings so keep refreshing the page:
