The Indianapolis Colts announced the initial jersey numbers for the 2024 NFL Draft class with rookie minicamp starting up Friday.
These are subject to change, and there's a good chance some of them will. Offseason jersey numbers are sometimes given just to get the player a number so they can get on the field.
One interesting note is Adonai Mitchell's jersey number. It represents the number of wide receivers drafted ahead of him.
Here's a look at the initial jersey numbers for the rookie class:
- EDGE Laiatu Latu: No. 97
- WR Adonai Mitchell: No. 10
- OL Matt Goncalves: No. 71
- C Tanor Bortolini: No. 60
- WR Anthony Gould: No. 6
- LB Jaylon Carlies: No. 57
- CB Jaylin Simpson: No. 30
- CB Micah Abraham: No. 33
- DT Jonah Laulu: No. 74
If we had to bet on any players changing their jersey numbers before the regular season arrives, the best bet might be Laulu. That's not a great number for a defensive tackle. All the other numbers are pretty solid.
