The Indianapolis Colts are set to begin rookie minicamp Friday as the 2024 offseason workout program progresses.
Following the 2024 NFL Draft, the Colts will continue to work their way through the offseason program as they prepare for organized team activities (OTA) and mandatory minicamp in June.
The rookie minicamp will run for three days beginning Friday, May 10.
The rookie class will be highlighted by edge rusher Laiatu Latu and wide receiver Adonai Mitchell, the team's first and second-round picks, respectively.
There also will be some interesting competitions stemming from the additions of offensive linemen Matt Goncalves and Tanor Bortolini as well as cornerbacks Jaylin Simpson and Micah Abraham.
The crop of rookies also will include a group of undrafted free agents as well as a number of players participating on a tryout basis. The players included on a tryout basis don't necessarily have to be rookies.
This will be an interesting first step for these rookies, and the Colts are inching closer to playing football on Sundays.
