The Atlanta Falcons announced they have officially signed outside linebacker and edge rusher Bralen Trice to the roster. OverTheCap.com has Trice's deal at four years, valued at $5.93 million. His cap number in 2024 will be $1.07 million.

The highly-anticipated pass rusher is the sixth of the Falcons' eight 2024 NFL draft picks to sign with the team. The only rookies left now are first-round quarterback Michael Penix, Jr. and fourth-round pick Brandon Dorlus.

As one of the higher floor players in this year's draft class, the Falcons will rely on Trice to produce more consistently than any other rookie. If you're a Falcons fan, you know the story: There hasn't been a reliable pass rusher that the organization can hang their hat on since the departure of John Abraham in 2013. Trice looks to be that steadying fixture on the outside of Jimmy Lake's and Raheem Morris' odd fronts.

The hope is that Trice is no more than a rotational player in this first year, meaning that Arnold Ebiketie and Lorenzo Carter have taken the reins as primary pass rushers on this defense. That does not mean that if called upon, Trice won't be able to deliver.

As Trice continues to learn how he is to win at the NFL level, his effort and relentless motor should keep him in position to make a considerable contribution while he's on the field.
