The Aaron Rodgers and Garrett Wilson dynamic hasn't gotten off to the best of starts in 2024, but there's plenty of hope for the New York Jets' top-flight passing connection.
Wilson has been decent, hauling in a total of 15 catches for 150 yards and one touchdown but it seems that he and his field general are off just a tick. A prime example of this emerged last Thursday against the New England Patriots when Wilson wasn't able to get his feet in bounds in the first half on an outside throw and in the second half where the two couldn't connect.
With the Broncos coming into MetLife Stadium on September 29, it won't be an easy task for Rodgers to get Wilson the ball as superstar CB Patrick Surtain will certainly be following Wilson most of the day. That being said Rodgers would still like to get Wilson the ball early in the game which should help the two get into a rhythm.

Rodgers acknowledged that he and Wilson are off just a little bit and he'd mentioned to Kaylee Hartung on Thursday Night Football that “Once 5 and I get on the same page, it’s gonna be special.”
Jets' fourth-year head coach Robert Saleh also knows how important Wilson is to the Jets offense and suggested in Wednesday's press conference that teams are "daring us to go somewhere else with the football."
If and when Rodgers and Wilson do get on the same page it's going to open up the entire offense. The run game for the Jets has been spectacular with both Breece Hall and Braelon Allen creating a one-two punch that teams have struggled with so far. With the run game being so efficient, that'll help Wilson when Rodgers utilizes the play-action in these upcoming games.
Wilson has gone back-to-back 1,000-yard receiving seasons throughout his first two years as a Jet so it's only a matter of time before he starts clicking with his future Hall-of-Fame quarterback.
