Just like that, the New York Jets wasted no time responding to the Haason Reddick trade request.
The Jets social media account released a statement by general manager Joe Douglas in regards to Reddick after the report by NFL insider Jordan Schultz came out that he wants to be traded.

Douglas is not backing down to Reddick or his agent in what seems like a hail-mary leverage play by Reddick's camp to coerce a new contract. Reddick has been fined over half a million dollars since the start of training camp. Unless he reports to camp like Douglas is suggesting him to do, these fines will continue to stack up.
This whole Reddick situation has been messy since the initial trade. With edge rushers Bryce Huff and John-Franklin Meyers no longer on the roster, Reddick is a valuable piece to a defensive line that needs high-level production. The real question that needs to be asked is who will blink first, Douglas or Reddick?
