The Jets now know their path to the playoffs in 2024.

It involves six primetime games in the first 11 weeks of the season as well as opponents in the AFC South and NFC West with their annual home-and-away matches against AFC East rivals. New York's season-opener on Monday Night Football is still almost four months away, but the predictions are rolling in for how the Jets will fare this season.

One former Jets player thinks the Jets to win at least 10 games and make the playoffs this year. Quincy Enunwa, who played 41 games for New York from 2014 to 2019, predicted the Jets will finish with a 12-5 record. If that happens, it'll be the most regular-season wins for the Jets since 1998. If the Jets make the playoffs, it would break the NFL's longest active postseason drought of 13 seasons.

Enunwa believes New York loses its season-opener against the 49ers before rattling off four consecutive wins over the Titans, Patriots, Broncos and Vikings. He then has the Jets losing back-to-back games against the Bills and Steelers but winning the next four. Finally, Enunwa thinks the Jets will go 5-2 after their Week 12 bye with losses to the Dolphins on the road and the Rams at home.

"I see them doing really well in that second half and carrying themselves to the playoffs," Enunwa said. "There's a lot of growing pains that are going to happen in the first half of the season that's why I gave them more losses there."

Enunwa finished his Jets career with 119 receptions for 1,617 yards and five touchdowns.

This is a generous prediction for Gang Green. New York only won seven games in 2023 without Aaron Rodgers under center but added a bounty of offensive weapons and offensive line talent during the offseason. Receivers Mike Williams rookie Malachi Corley join Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard, while linemen Tyron Smith, Morgan Moses, John Simpson and Olu Fashanu should provide enough protection for Rodgers to last the full year.

Now the only thing left for the Jets is to kick off the season in San Francisco after a summer of practices and preseason games ahead of them.
