The New York Giants (1-3) had plenty of opportunities to pull off an upset against the Dallas Cowboys (2-2) in prime time but failed to do so.

The 20-15 loss had some promising developments while also showing more issues on the offensive side of the ball.

While Malik Nabers put on another show to the tune of 12 receptions for 115 yards before exiting with a concussion, quarterback Daniel Jones missed ample opportunities to make big plays down the field throughout the game.

The Giants generated just three total pressures as a team on defense — two from Kayvon Thibodeaux and one from Dexter Lawrence.

Going into Week 5, the Giants are now in sole possession of fourth place in the NFC East, and it's reflected in the power rankings.

Though the Giants found some life rising five spots following the win over the Cleveland Browns, they were bumped down two spots in the latest edition of NFL power rankings, according to Vinnie Iyer of Sporting News, entering Week 5.

"27. New York Giants 1-3 (25)

The Giants missed a lot of chances to take down the Cowboys with a host of self-inflicted mistakes. They're not making a change at QB yet, but the leash has gotten way shorter.," Iyer wrote.

The losing streak to the Cowboys will continue, but the Giants showed a lot more fight than they typically do against Dallas.

They were in the game for the majority of the contest and might've even pulled it out had it not been for CeeDee Lamb's 55-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter to give the Cowboys momentum.

With a tough road matchup against the Seattle Seahawks coming up, the Giants must figure out their issues in order to avoid a 1-4 start.
