Few players in NFL history have enjoyed the start to a career like New York Giants rookie sensation Malik Nabers.
The No. 6 overall pick set an NFL record with at least 20 receptions and three touchdown receptions through a player’s first three games in the league.
During Thursday night’s 20-15 loss to the Dallas Cowboys at MetLife Stadium, Nabers continued to set records.
According to Stathead, Nabers became the first player during the Super Bowl era to record at least 35 receptions, 380 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns in the first four games of his career.
Nabers has been an electric addition to the offense, and he could have had a touchdown in the first quarter had Daniel Jones not underthrown a deep ball, which was a common theme throughout the night.
Regardless, Nabers is the exact type of catalyst the Giants offense has needed. Even though they didn't get the win Thursday night, the score would have been much uglier without Nabers.
The rookie star did exit the game in the fourth quarter with a concussion, but he provided a positive update following the loss so that will be something to monitor.
The Giants have something special in Nabers, and he's already entrenching himself in the record books.
