The New York Giants finally got their first win of the season in an upset victory on the road against the Cleveland Browns.
Despite literally gifting the Browns seven points on the first play of the game, the Giants clawed their way back to what was the team's most complete game of the season.
Daniel Jones moved well in the pocket and continued to hyper-target Malik Nabers, who made some NFL history with two touchdown receptions. Meanwhile, the pass rush was potent led by Brian Burns and Dexter Lawrence.
Now, the Giants shift their focus to a tough challenge on a short week against a division rival that has dominated them in recent seasons. Dating back to 2017, the Dallas Cowboys are 12-1 against the Giants.
Both the Cowboys and Giants find themselves with a 1-2 record at the bottom of the division. They are set to face each other again on a Thursday night as one of the three games on Thanksgiving.
Even at home, the Giants unsurprisingly find themselves as four-point underdogs in Week 4, and the expert picks follow suit.
NFL picks, predictions Week 4: Giants vs. Cowboys
Bill Bender, Sporting News: Cowboys 27, Giants 17
Bender: "Dallas is on a two-game losing streak despite the fact Dak Prescott leads the league with 851 passing yards — a stat that is juxtaposed against an 85.8 QB rating. The Giants are coming off an impressive win where rookie Malik Nabers had a two-TD breakout game. Prescott has won 12 consecutive starts against the Giants. If Dallas loses this one, then Mike McCarthy's seat will heat up. Get this line now before it ticks up more. "
Vinnie Iyer, Sporting News: Cowboys 23, Giants 20
Iyer: "The Cowboys are struggling to stop the run big time, and that's how the Giants can stay in it early and avoid bad pressure situations for Daniel Jones while he duels Dak Prescott. Look for Devin Singletary and Malik Nabers to have big offensive impacts, but in the end, Prescott and CeeDee Lamb will be the hottest offensive combination on TNF and keep desperate Dallas from dipping to 1-3."
Jeremy Cluff, Arizona Republic: Cowboys 24, Giants 20
Cluff: "The Cowboys have allowed 89 points this season. The Giants might be the perfect remedy for their defensive woes as New York has scored just 45 points."
Matt Johnson, Sportsnaut: Cowboys 24, Giants 20
Johnson: "If the Dallas Cowboys offensive line holds up in this one, we could have another Thursday Night Football blowout. The New York Giants have a strong defensive line, but there are plenty of weaknesses to exploit in the secondary. Plus, with the state the Giants offense is in, the Cowboys’ defense should feast on this Week 4 matchup."
