The New York Giants face a season of uncertainty, and there are plenty of analysts who are bearish on an improved campaign.

Coming off a 6-11 season that was riddled with injuries and poor performances, the Giants are hoping a healthy quarterback situation, an improved offensive line and the addition of a few key playmakers will result in a better outcome.

However, that pitch won't work on Jason McIntyre of Fox Sports, who ripped the Giants' chances of reaching their current projected win total of 6.5 wins.

"Unless you’re banking on the defense — specifically the front four — to keep the Giants in games and hope explosive rookie Malik Nabers can do enough for you, New York is going to struggle mightily to get near six wins," McIntyre wrote. "This is an extremely limited team offensively. And it feels like all of their eggs are in the defensive basket, led by Brian Burns, Dexter Lawrence and Kayvon Thibodeaux. Good luck with that."

It won't be an easy road for the Giants at all, but the fact that they got to six wins with the roster they had was remarkable last year.

The addition of Malik Nabers should give the Giants more upside on offense as a catalytic weapon for the passing game to funnel through.

The changes on the offensive line could prove to be fruitful, and the early showings during the preseason seem to trend in that direction. Though, the recent performances of Giants offensive lines lead us to proceed with caution.

Defensively, the secondary is a major question mark and could ultimately keep Shane Bowen's defense from reaching its ceiling. But it's undoubtedly true that the trio leading the defensive line is the best the Giants have had in years.

The Giants are in for an interesting season for sure but if they fail to reach six wins, there might be some change coming yet again.
