There were plenty of noteworthy moments in the Week 3 game between the New Orleans Saints and the Philadelphia Eagles. It was an exciting game that could have gone either way, but the Eagles won.
One moment discussed on social media is the alleged spitting incident between Saints OL Payton Turner and Eagles WR DeVonta Smith.
There appears to be plenty of video circulating on it.
Smith is down on the field after the play, and Turner appears to spit on him as he is standing up and walking away.
Check out video footage shared from multiple sources.

Now they’ve fantasized Payton Turner SPEARING an unconscious Smith in the head on national TV. I’m starting to wonder if Philly fans understand 2D depth perspective at all. Turner dove at the loose ball NEXT to Smith, then spit on the ground NEXT to Smith. https://t.co/dbLKlP54bW

What do you think? Is Turner spitting next to Smith or on him? Does that nuance even matter? Should the NFL review this?
The NFL fined Derek Carr for a somewhat innocuous Michael Jackson-themed touchdown celebration in Week 2 so they may want to take a look at this Payton Turner play. If he spit on Smith, that is less sportsman-like than what Carr did.
