The New England Patriots and Houston Texans will meet on Sunday afternoon at Gillette Stadium for a Week 6 battle; their first meeting since 2021.

New England hasn't looked great offensively, but they're turning the ball over to Drake Maye, allowing the rookie to lead the unit going forward. Their defense has been up and down, but they'll definitely be tested this week against a Texans offense that can cause damage early and often.

4:09 p.m. - Maye hit Ja'Lynn Polk for his first reception and time expired.

3:55 p.m. - SACK: Anderson beat Thomas again for a blindside sack, bringing down Maye 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage.

3:51 p.m. - TEXANS TOUCHDOWN: Pierce broke a few tackles and found the end zone from 54 yards out.

3:45 p.m. - PATRIOTS TOUCHDOWN: Maye found Douglas in the middle of the field and the second-year wideout took it the rest of the way for a 35-yard score.

3:41 p.m. - PENALTY: Texans defensive lineman Mario Edwards was called for illegal use of hands to the face.

3:40 p.m. - PENALTY: Sow was called for a false start.

3:37 p.m. - INJURY: Patriots guard Michael Jordan left the game with an injury and was replaced by Sidy Sow.

3:32 p.m. TEXANS TOUCHDOWN: Mixon jumped to the outside and outraced Jonathon Jones to the pylon. This was his second score of the day, and it increased Houston's lead back up 20 points.

3:29 p.m.: TURNOVER: Maye was intercepted after his pass was tipped at the line.

Third Quarter

3:24 p.m. - The final play of the third quarter was a Dameon Pierce run for no gain. Houston will start the fourth quarter with a second-and-10 at their own 37.

3:19 p.m. - PATRIOTS TOUCHDOWN: Maye found tight end Hunter Henry wide open in the flat after he released from a block. This score cut the lead to 13.

3:16 p.m. - PENALTY: Maye was called for a false start.

3:16 p.m. - Maye scrambled to the right and hit Henry back over the middle for a 30-yard gain.

3:11 p.m. - TEXANS FIELD GOAL: Fairbairn hit another field goal from 46 yards out. Houston went up by 20.

3:06 p.m. - TURNOVER: Maye hit tight end Austin Hooper for a seven-yard gain. Hooper was stripped while getting tackled, and Houston recovered the ball.

3:02 p.m. - TEXANS FIELD GOAL: Fairbairn nailed 39-yard attempt to extend the lead to 21 points.

3:01 p.m. - SACK: Patriots defensive lineman Jacquelin Roy sacked Stroud. It was a coverage sack.

2:56 p.m. - Stroud hit Diggs for a 26-yard gain in the middle of the field.

2:47 p.m. - TEXANS TOUCHDOWN: Stroud hit wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who worked against Christian Gonzalez, for a touchdown. This increased Houston's lead back to 14 points.

2:46 p.m. - TURNOVER: Texans defensive end Danielle Hunter sacked Maye and forced a fumble. It was recovered by Houston.

2:26 p.m. - TOUCHDOWN PATRIOTS: Maye hit second-year wide receiver Kayshon Boutte for a 40-yard touchdown on a go route. This score cut the lead to seven.

2:23 p.m. - PENALTY: Texans defensive back Eric Murray was called for defensive pass interference. 

2:23 p.m. - Maye hit Douglas for a 22-yard gain.

2:21 p.m. - SACK: Mapu and Christian Elliss brought down Stroud.

2:11 p.m. - SACK: Anderson sacked Maye again. He beat Thomas for that one.

2:06 p.m. - PENALTY: Patriots defensive back Marcellas Dial was called for holding on a punt return.

1:57 p.m. - Patriots running back Antonio Gibson snagged a high pass from Maye and converted their first third down of the game.

1:56 p.m. - Patriots started the drive without Vederian Lowe at left tackle. Zachary Thomas subbed in.

1:52 p.m. - INTERCEPTION: Mapu deflected a ball in the end zone up to Marcus Jones who snagged it and took it out of the end zone.

1:50 p.m. - BIG PLAY: Mixon broke free for a huge 59-yard run before Patriots safety Jaylinn Hawkins took him down.

1:46 p.m. - SACK: Maye was sacked by Texans defensive end Will Anderson Jr.

1:45 p.m. - PENALTY: Patriots offensive tackle Demontrey Jacobs was called for a false start.

1:27 p.m. - PENALTY: Patriots cornerback Marcus Jones was called for defensive pass interference on a third-and-nine play, allowing Houston's drive to continue.

1:17 p.m. - Drake Maye and the Patriots went three-and-out after two runs for one-yard and a throwaway.

1:10 p.m. - PENALTY: Patriots safety Marte Mapu was called for defensive pass interference in the end zone, allowing Houston to get a fresh set of downs at the one-yard line.

1:08 p.m. - Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud completed a 13-yard pass to wide receiver Stefon Diggs to convert their first third-down attempt.

1:03 p.m. - PENALTY: Patriots linebacker Sione Takitaki called for illegal formation on opening kickoff.
