The New England Patriots haven't done much offensively this season, as they've struggled to move the ball through the air regularly.
While the offensive line's health and poor performance has been the biggest reason for their inability to contend in a passing league, New England also doesn't have the most talented group of wide receivers.
The group has been so lackluster, that the Patriots are reportedly already looking to move on from one of them.
According to The Washington Post's Jason La Canfora, "the New England Patriots have let it be known that Tyquan Thornton is available."
New England selected the 24-year-old in the second round of the 2022 NFL draft out of Baylor, which felt like a reach at the time.
The speedster missed time in his first two seasons, playing in just 22 total games and catching 35 passes for 338 yards and two touchdowns.
This past offseason, Thornton looked healthy and appeared to be primed for a bigger role in the offense, but he's caught just two of his five targets for 27 yards.
With Kendrick Bourne nearing a return from reserve/PUP, Thornton could be the one left out of the group going forward.
Teams probably aren't drooling to bring Thornton in, but the Patriots may be able to get a conditional seventh form him instead of letting him walk for nothing.
