The New England Patriots have had a hard time protecting their quarterback and providing holes for their running backs in the first three weeks of the season, and in Week 4.
Things may get worse for the group up front as Patriots center David Andrews left the field with trainers in the first quarter of their Sunday afternoon matchup with the San Francisco 49ers. The team announced that the captain is dealing with a shoulder injury and is questionable to return.
New England's backup center was Jake Andrews, but he's out for the season with a knee injury, so they'll have to turn to Nick Leverett, who did the job in the preseason, and it didn't look great.
Hopefully, the injury isn't serious and Andrews is able to return quickly.
UPDATE: Andrews has been ruled out for the rest of the game.
