The New England Patriots have been battling injuries frequently this year, especially on their offensive line, and that issue isn't stopping now.
On Friday, Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo announced that center David Andrews and offensive tackle Caeden Wallace are being placed on injured reserve.
Andrews landing on injured reserve isn't a shock, as it was reported earlier in the week that the center suffered a shoulder injury that would require season-ending surgery. Hopefully, he's able to return next year, his final under contract with New England, healthy and ready to go.
Without him, the Patriots will likely start Nick Leverett and use practice squad center Bryan Hudson as the backup.
The Wallace news was a bit more surprising. The third-round rookie came into last week's battle with the San Francisco 49ers injured, but he did play and suffered another injury in that contest.
New England's tackle depth is definitely being tested, as Chukwuma Okorafor left the team and Vederian Lowe has been limited with a knee injury. They started Demontrey Jacobs last week, and they have Jalen McKenzie and Caleb Jones on the practice squad if needed, but this situation is far from ideal.
