The Minnesota Vikings were linked to have tried trading up for wide receiver Malik Nabers and in turn would have traded Justin Jefferson. It sounds somewhat absurd right? Well, it sounds like it was.
Two days after the report surfaced, ESPN's Kevin Seifert issued a sourced statement saying it's simply not true.
This rumor has made the rounds, and it's admittedly juicy, but the Vikings did not try last month to trade up and draft WR Malik Nabers. Great player, but Vikings have a better one in Justin Jefferson. Still working to extend Jefferson and no interest in trading him.

It felt a little bit odd considering the draft capital it would have required to trade up for Nabers. Now, if he would have been available at 10th overall, then maybe it could have been a discussion like it was with Dallas Turner.
It also doesn't make sense because the Vikings have been adamant in not wanting to trade Jefferson, There hasn't been anything since general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah talked about it at the NFL Scouting Combine. The Vikings are likely going to get the contract done and then we can stop these discussions period.
