Will the rumors about the Minnesota Vikings trading wide receiver Justin Jefferson ever stop? Until he signs his contract extension, that unfortunately won't happen.
The latest in Jefferson rumors involves the NFL Draft where the Vikings were reportedly trying to trade up for LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers. People on the beat have shut that down, but that won't stop others from trying to keep it a story.
The latest is former NFL general manager Michael Lombardi who reiterates the rumors of trading Jefferson for Nabers.
"The question is do the Minnesota Vikings pay Justin Jefferson and that's a fair question..

If they were able to get Malik Nabers they would've traded Jefferson" ~ @mlombardiNFL #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/RluMAj8deZ
The rumor of Jefferson being traded needs to stop. It didn't happen. Why? The people who would know (beat writers) say it's not true and none of the more credible media people (Adam Schefter, Ian Rapoport, etc) haven't said a peep. Lombardi isn't exactly known as a credible source with something like this and Vikings beat writer Alec Lewis said as such without saying it directly.
You can just say anything in this media environment, and no matter who you are someone will believe it and give it life, and there will be no repercussions for being totally wrong. What a time. https://t.co/Z6wp11wBcw

It's time to shut this down and keep your eyes and ears open for people who are and aren't trustworthy.
