San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk has requested a trade and the Los Angeles Chargers have been named by multiple outlets as a potential landing spot

The Chargers adding a dynamic option to their passing game makes plenty of sense. It would give Aiyuk a fresh start and give Justin Herbert a great option to get the ball to. But of course, it would come at a cost.

Who are some players the Chargers could be asked to part with? While the bulk of the Niners' return would likely include several draft picks, the Chargers could opt to keep some picks by giving up a player on the roster. These three could be candidates to be part of a potential deal.

Chargers players who could be part of potential Brandon Aiyuk trade

Joey Bosa

This one would probably be a tough pill for many Chargers fans to swallow, but Joey Bosa has not given the team what he once did due to injury issues.

Sending Bosa to San Francisco would put him on the same team as his brother, Nick, and give the 49ers an even more dangerous defense. This would be a blockbuster deal, to be sure.

Ja'Sir Taylor

Ja'Sir Taylor would be a couple of notches below Bosa in terms of value, so the Chargers would have to include some picks with this deal.

The 49ers could use some more depth at the cornerback position and Ja'Sir Taylor, a sixth-round pick out of Wake Forest in 2022, is becoming a formidable force as a slot corner.

Trey Pipkins

The Chargers are going to try Trey Pipkins at guard after drafting Joe Alt in the first round and if Pipkins performs well there, look out for this offensive line.

But if Pipkins doesn't respond well to the shift and a player like Jamaree Salyer would be better in the lineup, the Chargers could see value in trading him in favor of having him as a backup. If that trade could help land Aiyuk, you pull the trigger.
