The Los Angeles Chargers will be one of the more interesting teams to follow in the NFL this year, mostly because the man who won last year's college football national championship, Jim Harbaugh, is now the head coach.

The Chargers had what many saw as a big offseason, adding names like Joe Alt, Ladd McConkey and Junior Colson in the draft. J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards came over to help revamp the offensive backfield.

The team no longer has Keenan Allen, Mike Williams or Austin Ekeler, but fans believe in the direction being laid out by Harbaugh and new general manager Joe Hortiz.

Here, we will keep you updated on all of the moves made by the team as it builds its final roster.

The team will play its final preseason game on Saturday, August 24 against the Dallas Cowboys. They will have to cut down to 53 players by Tuesday, August 27.

Cuts to get down to 53-man roster

Zach Heins, Tight End (source)

Heins was considered one of the undrafted free agents with the best chance to make the Chargers roster, but the team had too many other tight ends for him to stand out.

Savion Jackson, Edge (source)

The Chargers had already released Jackson once during the preseason before bringing him back for the final stretch.

Jaylen Johnson, Wide Receiver (source)

Alex Leatherwood, OT (source)

The Chargers decided to see what the former first-round pick had to offer but after the first preseason game, he looked like a long shot to make the team.

Luis Perez, QB (source)

This isn't a surprise as Perez did not play in the preseason finale. He outplayed Easton Stick this preseason, but the Chargers are keeping Stick... for now.

Isaiah Spiller, Running Back (source)

Spiller was a promising addition to the team when he was selected in the fourth round in 2022, but he was outplayed by the competition this summer when his roster status was shaky.

Donald Parham, Tight End (source)

This will be seen as a surprise to many, but Parham is just not what Jim Harbaugh looks for in his tight ends.

Ty Shelby, Edge (source)

Thomas Harper, Safety (source)

Undrafted rookie make a run at the 53-man roster but the team just had too much depth in front of him.
