The 2024 NFL season is still more than three months from kicking off, but prediction season is always in full effect and every member of the media likes to take their crack at some of them.
Judy Battista, covering the league for NFL.com as a senior columnist, recently put out a list of 10 bold predictions, and the Los Angeles Chargers land on the list... for the right reasons. In the final prediction on her list, Battista makes this prediction:
Jim Harbaugh poses an immediate challenge to the Chiefs
Battista cites Jim Harbaugh's success with building strong running games as well as his history with turning things around quickly. He has taken a team to the Super Bowl and is fresh off of winning a college football national championship. This prediction makes a lot of sense and despite the Chargers winning only five games in 2023, Harbaugh might make them the biggest challenge to the Kansas City Chiefs in the division this season.

That should jolt the fans hoping for success in Los Angeles. However, one other prediction on Battista's list won't excite the Chargers faithful.
The Chiefs three-peat
Nobody wants to see this, right? No team in NFL history has ever won three Super Bowls in a row. Battista predicts that will change this season. At least in terms of the AFC West, the Chargers might have to be a team to put at least one dent in that armor in order to prevent history from taking place.
