Chargers officially set 17-player practice squad after flurry of moves image

After teams cut their rosters down to 53 players earlier this week after the preseason schedule concluded, the Los Angeles Chargers were one of the most active teams in the league.

The team started by claiming Hassan Haskins off waivers, a player who played under Jim Harbaugh at Michigan, setting off a domino effect at the running back position.

The team then made two big trades, acquiring defensive back Elijah Molden from the Tennessee Titans before adding to their quarterback room and trading for Taylor Heinicke of the Atlanta Falcons.

The team had to adjust its initial 53-man roster, which had a trickle-down effect on the practice squad, where they had to wait for some players to clear waivers before being added.

They now have their 17-player practice squad ahead of the start of the season.
