Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers got off to a strong start to the 2024 season over his first four games, but one thing he had yet to accomplish was scoring his first career touchdown. Well, he took care of that in Week 5.
The Raiders received the football first in their game against the Denver Broncos and on just the fourth play of the game, quarterback Gardner Minshew lofted one up for the first-round pick and Bowers did the rest.
The Georgia product had to sky for the catch but was able to reel it in before turning and exploding down the sideline to the house. When it was all said and done, Bowers' touchdown went for 57 yards to put the Raiders on top, 7-0.

Bowers totaled 15 catches for 156 yards over his first two games but had been quiet in the last two. With that 57-yard touchdown reception against the Broncos, Bowers almost has more yards in Week 5 than he had in the last two games combined (60).
Raiders general manager Tom Telesco caught some flack for drafting Bowers in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft because Las Vegas had just taken a tight end in the second round the year prior. However, Bowers has made Telesco look very smart early on in his career.
