The Kansas City Chiefs begin their season tonight against the Baltimore Ravens, and thus begin their quest to become the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls.
Ahead of that, though, Dan Pizzzuta of The 33rd Team ranked every NFL starting quarterback. And in a truly shocking development (heavy sarcastic emphasis on the "shocking," Patrick Mahomes was ranked as the best quarterback in the NFL.
"Patrick Mahomes makes everything easier for his offense," Pizzuta writes. "He has every tool in his bag, from finding and creating big plays to patiently picking through defenses underneath. Mahomes has already evolved multiple times as a passer, and with more speed at receiver, we could be looking at another leap in his play."
Mahomes is coming off a third Super Bowl in five seasons and his sixth consecutive season with at least 4,000 yards passing. He is a six-time Pro Bowler and already in the conversation for the greatest quarterback of all time.
