Patrick Mahomes is no stranger to WWE.

He gave his Super Bowl rings to Logan Paul during WWE Raw in late April after he celebrated his second consecutive Super Bowl with a custom WWE belt. Mahomes didn't enter the ring with Paul during Raw, but he told ESPN's Pat McAfee — another WWE participant — that he wished he "could've got in the ring" that night.

That prompted Triple H a 14-time world champion, to offer Mahomes an "open invitation" to compete in the ring.

"Hey, @PatrickMahomes," He wrote on X, "… you have an open invitation. Let me know when."

Would Mahomes really compete in a WWE event? That would depend on if the Chiefs would allow him. He's their franchise quarterback who makes around $45 million a year. It's unlikely Kansas City would want to put Mahomes in harm's way, even if it's in a scripted situation. The Chiefs already asked Mahomes not to play pick-up basketball after a viral video surfaced of him in 2019.

Mahomes wasn't alone the last time, though. Chiefs center Creed Humphrey and guard Trey Smith defended Mahomes when he was approached by Braun Strowman outside of the ring after Paul accidentally clocked JD McDonagh with his ring-studded fist. Perhaps the Chiefs would allow Mahomes' protection to join him, so long as he remains untouched.

NFL players have been involved in the WWE before, though after their retirement. McAfee has been at WrestleMania, and former Patriots and Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski has made several appearances.

Mahomes could be next ... after his NFL career is over.
