NFL picks, predictions Week 6: Indianapolis Colts vs. Tennessee Titans image

The Indianapolis Colts (2-3) took another step backward with their annual defeat in Duval and now are looking to get back on track against another division opponent.

For the first time this season, the Colts and Tennessee Titans (1-3) will square off in a battle that features two of the most polarizing quarterbacks in the NFL.

Both Anthony Richardson (oblique) and Will Levis (shoulder) enter the week with injury question marks, and they both have turned the ball over at an extremely high rate this season.

The Colts offense has found its groove with Joe Flacco taking the reins for the better part of the last two games while the defense has been utterly disastrous in Gus Bradley's third season.

Meanwhile, the Titans defense has been pretty sound, but their struggles on offense have led to just one win coming out of the bye week.

The Colts open the week as one-point road favorites against the Titans, and the NFL experts around the league are confident in them pulling off their first road win of the season.

NFL picks, predictions Week 6: Colts vs. Titans

Bill Bender, Sporting News: Colts 30, Titans 27

Bender: "The Colts are 2-3, and their five games have been decided by a combined total of 19 points. They have been a hard team to gauge as a result. Joe Flacco averages 263.5 passing yards per game with five TDs and no interceptions. Will Indianapolis ride this out even if Anthony Richardson (oblique) is close to returning? The Titans are coming out of the bye week after a rough start that includes a minus-7 turnover ratio through four games. Indianapolis is 4-1 ATS this season."

Vinnie Iyer, Sporting News: Colts 20, Titans 17

Iyer: "Will Anthony Richardson (oblique) and Jonathan Taylor (ankle) return at the same for the Colts after missing one game? Joe Flacco was an OK pass-happy fill-in, so that makes Taylor a little more important after not being able to close well in Jacksonville. The Titans will have a few more offensive answers under Brian Callahan by continuing to lean more on running backs Tony Pollard and Tyjae Spears, but either Will Levis or Mason Rudolph will make one too many mistakes in relation to Flacco or Richardson."

Jeremy Cluff, USA Today Sports: Colts 23, Titans 20

Cluff: "Sometimes a game simply comes down to quarterbacks and we feel better about the Colts' QBs."

Matt Johnson, Sportsnaut: Colts 16, Titans 13

Johnson: "Both these teams have uncertainty at quarterback entering Week 6. Anthony Richardson missed this past game with an injury and the Indianapolis Colts offense looked much better with Joe Flacco. Meanwhile, the Tennessee Titans might be using Will Levis injury as a way to see how Mason Rudolph fares with an extended look. This projects to be a low-scoring game, but we’re giving the slight edge to this Colts’ offense outpacing whatever Tennessee quarterback is out there."

Ben Rolfe, Pro Football Network: Colts 20, Titans 17

Rolfe: "This game is tough to judge because we don’t know who will be Indianapolis’ QB. If it’s Flacco, I like the Colts straight up in this game. For now, though, this is a game I’m going to steer clear of because the Titans’ defense is the best unit. However, I don’t trust Will Levis and that offense. The under may well be the best play here, but I would rather just avoid it."
