Although the Indianapolis Colts have a strong defensive line, there's a strong chance they focus on the interior for the upcoming NFL draft.
Looking ahead to next April, Bleacher Report must believe the Colts will end up with a top five or 10 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft with its suggestion of Michigan defensive lineman Mason Graham.
Alex Ballentine of Bleacher Report wrote that the Colts could be a landing spot for Graham in the draft.
"Michigan's Mason Graham may come in and be slotted behind Buckner and Grover Stewart initially. However, he's a rare defensive tackle prospect capable of being a disruptive force on all three downs. His inclusion to the rotation should greatly strengthen what may be the league's biggest weakness," wrote Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report.
Indianapolis has allowed the second-most rushing yards in the NFL after four weeks of action, so Graham would be a perfect fit alongside DeForest Buckner and Grover Stewart in terms of stopping the run in the trenches.
Where the Colts may struggle in their hopes of landing Graham is draft position, because the Wolverine is currently the third-ranked player in the entire 2025 class according to Pro Football Focus.
On this same list, Graham only trails offense/defense hybrid Travis Hunter in his hopes of being the premiere defensive player available in 2025.
Not only was Graham a key contributor to Michigan’s 2023 National Championship with 36 tackles, three sacks and eight tackles for loss in 13 games, but the junior has been named an All-American twice.
Throughout five games this season, Graham has already matched his 2023 sack total and surpassed his freshman season tackle for loss total.
According to ESPN’s Football Power Index, the Colts are currently projected to earn the 16th overall pick with a less than 30% chance of landing in the top 10.
