Russell Wilson, Justin Fields, who cares? Broncos have their own issues

As the Denver Broncos head into Week 2, the talk that dominated headlines as soon as this game was announced on the schedule was that Russell Wilson would be coming back to Denver.

Broncos fans were circling the date on their calendars, ready to get some sort of "revenge" on Wilson for how bad he was in Denver. Now, it seems that the Steelers are preparing to start Justin Fields, just as they did in Week 1. That has led to some belief within Broncos Country that the team could be in an even better position for a win if Fields does start.

The Broncos can't be concerned with this noise. Of course, it matters who plays quarterback for game-planning, but it can't be something the Broncos are emotionally invested in. All of the cliches still apply. It's business as usual. It's just another game.

Steelers will be confident against this Broncos team no matter who plays QB

The idea that the Broncos are just going to get an easy victory here because Wilson and Fields are so "bad" is kind of funny. Fields started on the road against the Atlanta Falcons last Sunday and his team won the game.

Bo Nix made his first career start and averaged 3.3 yards per passing attempt, one of the lowest numbers for that statistic in NFL history, and his team lost to the Seattle Seahawks.

The Broncos have a lot to clean up in this game from Week 1. They need to get the offense move and their own quarterback needs to be able to move the ball down the field. If they can't do those things any better than they did against the Seahawks, it's not going to matter who plays quarterback for the Steelers.
