The 2024 NFL season will be a big one for the Denver Broncos. The team has undergone major changes, leaving fans with a nervous excitement heading into the year. Though we still have the entire season to play, it's not too early to look at the following year. In fact, in the NFL, it never is.

Based on a recent simulation conducted by ESPN's Football Power Index, the 2025 draft order has been formulated. This was done by simulating the 2024 season 10,000 times.

Now this is just a computer running analytics and that same system likely didn't predict the turnaround by the Houston Texans last year, but situations like that are the exception, not the rule. Based on several factors, the FPI predicts that the Broncos will have the No. 3 overall pick next spring.

That would mean a lot of things, and none of them would be good.

Denver Broncos projected to have No. 3 overall pick in 2025 NFL Draft

If this were to come true, the Broncos would likely be left with many more questions than answers from the 2024 season.

How bad was Bo Nix? Can Sean Payton and his offense be successful in Denver? And, with the No. 3 overall pick, would the Broncos consider going quarterback in round 1 again?

Shortly after this year's draft, a mock draft was done for next season, and not only had the Broncos taking a quarterback in the first round, but doing so with the No. 1 overall pick.

As stated, this is just a simulation and the actual results in 2024 could end up being quite different than the ESPN FPI thinks. But it sure doesn't seem like there is much hope in this team for this coming season, outside of the diehard fans within Broncos Country.
