The loss of Alex Singleton is one the Denver Broncos will be hurting over for the rest of the season. The team's leading tackler was lost to a torn ACL suffered in their win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, an injury he played the majority of the game after sustaining.
After signing veteran Kwon Alexander to the practice squad earlier in the week, the Broncos have decided to also add veteran Zach Cunningham. He will join the practice squad as well, but with a rotation that now has just Cody Barton, Kristian Welch and Justin Strnad, one or both of them will likely see action in the regular season this year.

Cunningham was a second-round pick of the Houston Texans in 2017. After five seasons there, he played with the Tennessee Titans for two years and was with the Philadelphia Eagles last season. He led the league in tackles in 2020 (Alexander led the league in 2016) and he has over 700 total tackles in his career.
Cunningham is still only 29 years old and the Broncos will likely feel quite comfortable if they have to press him into action this season.
The Broncos also have preseason standout Levelle Bailey on the practice squad, so there are plenty of reinforcements in place to help fill the hole left by Singleton, who has been nothing short of outstanding since signing with the Broncos ahead of the 2022 season.
