Following a second straight loss to begin the 2024 season, the Denver Broncos are still licking their wounds as they prepare for a road game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But a recent report makes the loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday even more embarrassing.

Take a look at this...

James Palmer, Senior NFL Reporter for Underdog Fantasy, talked on Steve Smith's podcast about being in the Steelers' after the game. The Steelers had this to say:

“I was just in the Steelers locker room going against a rookie in Bo Nix in his second NFL start. I’m talking to the Steelers corners and they’re sitting there laughing in the corner going, ‘We knew the playbook was this big, we know they weren’t going to take any shots, and we know what he likes to do. They’re going to make it easy on him to go here and here, and that’s all we had to worry about."

Laughing in the corner. And by laughing, Palmer meant literally laughing about how easy it was to beat this Broncos team. That is a big part of the reason the Broncos scored only six points in that game. Things just seem to get worse for the Broncos, who have become a laughingstock in today's NFL.

Broncos fans are going to have to brace themselves for a long process

Things won't just get easier overnight, either. Sean Payton and Bo Nix are going to have to put the work in during a long, tedious process for this to change.

Many Broncos fans were hoping that the team could get to the playoffs with Nix as a rookie quarterback this year, perhaps buying into some preseason hype. But that is not at all realistic unless things drastically change from the first two weeks.

The Broncos and their offense, or lack thereof, is being laughed at. The Broncos have a long way to go before they can be the ones laughing.
