As mock drafts have been created for the 2025 NFL Draft, many of those mockers have the Denver Broncos selecting in the top 5... some even at No. 1 overall. Broncos fans have scoffed at that notion, but after watching the first two games of the season, it unfortunately looks quite possible.
While nobody wants to look this far ahead right now, the job of scouts and the front office is to identify players that could fit the team best in the future. If the season continues to trend the way that it has so far, the Broncos are going to have a high pick in next spring's draft.
With that thought in mind, let's take a look at some of the top prospects who would also make sense for the current makeup of this team. As you follow the college football season, these are some players you can keep tabs on. Who knows, maybe they'll be playing in Denver at some point in the near future.
Denver Broncos 2025 NFL Draft prospects
No quarterbacks
There are several top quarterback prospects in the upcoming draft class (Shedeur Sanders, Miller Moss, Carson Beck) but we have to assume that the Broncos are all in on Bo Nix, even if they end up with the No. 1 overall pick.
The team needs help offensively, but some defensive players in this class would be tough to pass on.
Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado
Travis Hunter is nothing short of amazing for the Colorado Buffaloes. It remains to be seen what position he will play at the professional level, but he is a legitimate two-way player in college who takes very few plays off.
He might be the best player in college football right now.
Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
The idea of pairing Pat Surtain II with Will Johnson, the best corner in college football, is tantalizing. Johnson is 6-foot-2 and has all the makings of being the next great shutdown corner.
Luther Burden, WR, Missouri
Luther Burden is coming off a 1,200-yard season for the Tigers and many people think he is the best wide receiver in the country. The Broncos can use a true No. 1 wide receiver and though Sean Payton might have to alter his approach of having bigger, possession-type wide receivers, Burden's talent is too much to pass up.
James Pearce Jr., Edge, Tennessee
The Broncos seem to have found something in Jonah Elliss, but do they have a true game-breaker at the edge rusher spot? James Pearce would fill that role as some feel he is the top overall prospect in next year's class.
Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, Texas
It's hard to decipher what the future could hold for the Broncos at the tackle spots with Garett Bolles and Mike McGlinchey, but chances are at least one of them could be replaced in 2025. Kelvin Banks is a top-flight prospect who could come from a team that wins the national championship this year.
Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
If I were the general manager of the Broncos, you would have a hard time convincing me not to draft this guy. Tetairoa McMillan is an absolute animal in the passing game at 6-foot-5 with speed and the kind of explosiveness that is just not natural for a player his size.

Teams will be gushing over him when draft time comes next year if they aren't already, and he would be the team's No. 1 receiver for many years to come.
