The NFL announced its full 2024 preseason schedule on Friday and the Denver Broncos will be shown in one of the five preseason games that will be televised nationally. That game will be against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, August 25, a game that will be shown on the CBS Network.

The Broncos will play three preseason games this August, the same as 29 other teams in the league. The teams that will meet in the first preseason game, the Hall of Fame Game, between the Chicago Bears and Houston Texans, will play in four.

With a new-look roster and competitions at key positions, notably quarterback, these three games will be important for this year's Broncos. It will also be a chance for the team to tinker with the new kickoff rule and see what they can develop there before the season starts.

The Broncos will also hold a joint practice with the Green Bay Packers before their preseason matchup.

The Broncos went 1-2 last preseason in Sean Payton's first year with the team. They had back-to-back 1-point losses before blowing out the Rams 41-0 in the preseason finale. Though the league eventually wants to expand to an 18-game regular season and eliminate at least one more preseason game, these contests are important for several players on the roster bubble.
