After cutting their roster down to 53 players, the Denver Broncos have now filled their practice squad, getting several names back with the team. However, many players they likely wanted to retain on the practice squad were claimed off waivers on Wednesday.
In today's NFL, most of the practice squad players are going to see at least some regular season action. That makes each one of these players important to the overall build of this team.
The Broncos also made an interesting acquisition in the process, signing former Los Angeles Chargers tight end Donald Parham to the practice squad. Parham was somewhat surprisingly released by the Chargers after playing there the last four years but he brings a 6-foot-8 option that can be a force in the red zone.

For his career, Parham has caught 67 passes for 764 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Here is a look at the rest of the players who were signed to the practice squad.

That leaves the Broncos with one spot on the practice squad still open. Speculation is that it will go to linebacker Jonas Griffith, one of the team's more surprising cuts, who is still weighing his options.
