Ever since Bo Nix was selected 12th overall by the Denver Broncos this past draft, the question that has been on everyone's mind was who would be the starter. Earlier today that question was finally answered, and many professionals gave their thoughts on the decision.

When Bo Nix was named the starter by head coach Sean Payton, The Herd host Colin Cowherd made a massive comparison of Nix to a very successful quarter.

The comparison Cowherd made: Naming Bo Nix as starting quarterback "is like naming Brady the starter in New England".

Now, Cowherd was not comparing the skillsets of the two quarterbacks, as one is a rookie and the other is a seven-time super bowl champion. But what Cowherd was saying was that this decision was obvious; everyone saw it coming.

What led many people to quickly believe Nix would ultimately win the job was in part due to his tremendous preseason play. In just a limited amount of snaps for two games, Nix threw for over 200 yards with a 77 percent completion percentage, nearly 30 rushing yards, and two touchdowns.

Combine that with his impressive play in practices and camp, as well as his demeanor and leadership, and it was only a matter of time until this decision was made public.

Now, Broncos Country has their quarterback. Only a few more weeks until they get to witness Bo Nix take the field for the first time on Sunday, September 8 against the Seattle Seahawks.
