The Denver Broncos got a huge lift from wide receiver Tim Patrick against the Green Bay Packers and he looked so good in the game that if he was on the roster bubble, he shouldn't be anymore.

Patrick is back on the field after missing the last two full seasons due to injury, but he looks like he hasn't missed a beat, and playing with the first unit against the Packers, which included presumed starting quarterback Bo Nix, he looked great.

Patrick caught four passes in limited action, gaining 30 yards and finding the end zone on a pass from Nix for the team's first touchdown.

Patrick should not be in danger of being cut at this point. He was listed as a bubble player in Mike Klis' recent roster projection, but he not only shouldn't be on that list, he should be a big part of the team's plans this season.

Between a torn ACL and a torn Achilles, Patrick has not played a regular-season game since the 2021 season. The Broncos do have some strong options at wide receiver, but Sean Payton values veteran play and that could put Patrick ahead of both Troy Franklin and Devaughn Vele in the final pecking order.

Courtland Sutton, Marvin Mims Jr. and Josh Reynolds figure to be the team's top three wide receivers, but there is no reason to believe that Patrick can't be No. 4.

Patrick's roster status has been questioned all offseason but after seeing the chemistry between he and Nix, he should be considered close to a lock to make this team.
