The Dallas Cowboys came back down to earth with an atrocious loss to the New Orleans Saints by the score of 44-19. Alvin Kamara had four touchdowns, while Derek Carr threw two touchdowns to lead the NFL with five total on the season.
And while the Cowboys had a down week and lost their first home game in over two years, their division-rival continued to show while they'll always be miles behind Dallas.
The New York Giants travelled to face the Washington Commanders in an early-season NFC East battle. However, the Giants had no kicker after Graham Gano was injured on the opening kickoff. Because of this, the Giants had no kicker, and it came back to haunt them.
New York scored three touchdowns and held the Commanders out of the end zone. However, they had to go for two on each of their scores, failing to convert on any of the tries. The Commanders kicked an NFL-record tying seven field goals to win 21-18.
It's little things like this that keep the Giants multiple steps behind the rest of the league. Combined with paying Daniel Jones, to not paying Saquon Barkley and watching him join the Philadelphia Eagles, the Giants are a tire fire of an organization.
