The Dallas Cowboys fell to Earth in Week 2. After a 33-17 win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 1, the Cowboys were blown out 44-19 by the New Orleans Saints.
After the game, quarterback Dak Prescott was asked if Dallas was riding a high from Week 1, to which he gave a seemingly annoyed response.
"I mean it's the NFL," Prescott said. "I talk about it each and every week. No games are played on paper. As far as riding a high, I know I wasn't personally. I don't think the guys in the locker room necessarily were. I mean I talked about how much meat we left on the bone offensively. And that's simply why you can't listen to other people's opinions and read what you guys write, respectfully. I mean you may have put this team on a high more than we should have been. And now we just simply got to reset."
The Cowboys allowed Derek Carr to throw for two scores on over 15 yards per attempt and 22 yards per completion while Alvin Kamara ran for four touchdowns. Dallas was 16-0 in their last 16 regular season home games ahead of Sunday, and now have some regrouping to do before hosting the Ravens in Week 3.
