Nothing went right for the Cleveland Browns in their Week 1 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. There were problems on offense, defense, and special teams.
Deshaun Watson's ineffectiveness, David Njoku's injury, and the Cowboys scheming well against Myles Garrett were a few of the issues.
As a result, the Browns fell from 19th to 23rd in the Sporting News Week 2 NFL Power Rankings. Some would argue that they could have dropped further.
The Browns have to rebound quickly. The good news is that their Week 2 opponent, the Jacksonville Jaguars, is ranked 24th with a young defense that needs to come together. Perhaps gameplan adjustments and a less potent defense than that of the Dallas Cowboys will be the ticket to Week 2 success.
In the meantime, more doom and gloom have arisen with Deshaun Watson's latest lawsuit, and a perception by a Browns writer, before yesterday's game, that the fans have less enthusiasm.
The Browns have a talented roster and time to turn things around. Winning cures everything.
