Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson's legal troubles continue. He is reportedly being sued for allegations of sexual assault and battery while on a date.
This incident is unrelated to the massage lawsuits Watson has dealt with in the past. The one common thread is that the plaintiff's attorney is Tony Buzbee who represented many of the women who sued Watson in 2021 over the massage parlor incidents.
The alleged victim is going as Jane Doe. She described in detail her encounter with Watson on a date on October 10, 2020. It involved his anger at being unable to find her apartment. While she was getting ready, he disrobed and was in lying face down on her bed. He allegedly encouraged her to massage his glutes. When she did not comply, Watson assaulted her. ProFootballTalk reported the intimate details.
The statute of limitations for sexual assault cases is five years in Texas. It is unclear what the NFL or the Cleveland Browns will do.
