Cleveland Browns defensive end and NFL DPOY Myles Garrett is back at work after a stellar 2023 season culminating with him winning the elusive individual honor of defensive player of the year.
Garrett has other things on his mind in 2024. Despite sporting silly socks with Denzel Ward's head on them to practice on Monday, Garrett is very serious about what he wants to accomplish this season.
Myles Garrett is rocking the Denzel Ward socks today at training camp. Why? Myles told me it’s simply because he loves Denzel Ward. He also said Denzel has Myles Garrett socks, but isn’t as proud to wear them as he is. This is the vibe of this #Browns defense to a T. pic.twitter.com/T7KmYCCXej

He told ex-Browns player Joe Haden that a championship is what the city of Cleveland deserves. Despite all he has accomplished, that is the missing piece.

This is not the first time Garrett has said this. He has embraced Cleveland as his second home, immersing himself in the community through philanthropic work and as a minority owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Garrett will turn 29 in December. The Browns are "on the clock" because they have an impressive roster of players at their prime (as Garrett is) so the window for winning is now.
The Browns start their 2024 season at home facing the Dallas Cowboys which Garrett said has created some issues in his Texas-based family who in addition to cheering for Garrett's Browns like the Cowboys.
