He may be a few years away, but five-star wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. knows who he wants play with in the NFL.
The Santa Ana native called Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow his "dream teammate" during an interview with Overtimeszn.
He also gave a shout-out to star wide receiver Tee Higgins.
"My dream teammate would probably be like Joe Burrow or like Tee Higgins. The Bengals are my favorite team," Henry said in the interview
Henry is rated as the top recruit in the 2026 class by 247Sports Composite. He fielded 34 offers and took visits to USC and Tennessee.
Ultimately, he committed to Ohio State — Burrow's alma mater before he transferred to LSU. After the commitment, Alabama, Texas, Oregon, Georgia, and several other big college programs have still made offers to the young wideout.
Greg Biggins of 247Sports compared him to Mike Evans in his player profile.
"Henry checks off every box you want to see in a next level receiver. In fact, despite not playing a ‘premium’ position from an NFL Draft standpoint, he’s good enough to warrant consideration as the top overall recruit in the ’26 class, much like Jeremiah Smith was in the class of ’24," Biggins wrote.
Henry's comments cannot be too surprising. He is the son of former Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry, who was a third-round pick in 2005 and played five seasons for the Bengals.
Unfortunately, Henry will not be eligible for the NFL Draft until 2029. Free agency would be even further after that. Still, Henry could be the Bengals' next star wide receiver someday.
