Things looked grim for the Buffalo Bills in the first half in their Week 1 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals. After the Cardinals marched up the field twice, and took away a fumble from Buffalo, the Bills found themselves in a 17-3 hole. That shrunk to 17-10 after a Josh Allen touchdown run just before halftime, and the Bills scored on their first drive after the half with a touchdown toss to Mack Hollins from Allen.
Another touchdown pass from Allen to Khalil Shakir and a second touchdown run from superhero in 17 secured the win for the Bills, which gave them an NFL record that will be nearly impossible for any team to top.
Buffalo reached its 42nd consecutive game without losing by more than six points. The record looked very much in doubt in the first half, but they overcame the deficit off the strength of Allen and a defense that didn't allow a touchdown in the second half.
The last time the Bills lost by more than six was November 21, 2021 when they lost to the Indianapolis Colts 41-15.
Bills now hold this NFL record. Most games in a row without losing by more than 6. https://t.co/IicixKO9TQ

The Bills will look to continue another trend this week - beating the Dolphins. Allen is 11-2 against Miami for his career, and the Bills can take a commanding lead in the AFC East with a win in Miami on Thursday night.
