The Buffalo Bills have already been been hard by the injury bug. All-Pro linebacker Matt Milano is out indefinitely with torn biceps, and nickel cornerback Taron Johnson suffered an arm injury early in Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals. Johnson didn't return, nor did he play in Week 2. The Bills were dealt another bad blow when their other inside linebacker, Terrel Bernard, left the game with a pectoral injury and didn't return. However, there is some good news behind this.
According to Kyle Brandt of Good Morning Football, Bernard avoided a "more serious injury" and has a pectoral strain, not a tear. While he avoided a potential season-ending injury, Buffalo still expect Bernard to be on the shelf for about a month.

Bills linebacker my man Terrel Bernard avoided a more serious injury and has a pectoral strain. Not a tear.
However he is expected to miss some time, likely a month.

This means Dorian Williams, Baylon Spector, and Nicholas Morrow will be called upon to carry the load in the middle of the field. Head coach Sean McDermott and defensive coordinator Bobby Babich have already been tested with injuries this season, and now the Bills are entering a three-game stretch where they'll face Trevor Lawrence, Lamar Jackson, and C.J. Stroud. It won't be easy to come away with wins in those three games as their injuries in the middle of the field continue to pile up.
