No wonder Kalen DeBoer and Nick Sheridan made it a priority to land Keelon Russell.
The first-year Alabama Crimson Tide head coach DeBoer and his offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Sheridan see something special in the four-star quarterback recruit Keelon Russell, and it’s proving out as the Duncanville, Texas native crushed it throughout the prestigious Elite 11 camp in Manhattan Beach, Calif., winning MVP.

247Sports still has Russell’s performance ranked No. 2 behind five-star QB stud and Ohio State Buckeyes commit Tavien St. Clair, but it might not be too long before the dual-threat Russell gets another star added to his resume. (LSU's No. 1 overall five-star QB recruit Bryce Underwood chose not to participate.)
DeBoer is starting to solidify an outstanding 2025 recruiting class, currently already trending towards the top 10, with a top five class very much in the mix.
And if Russell get his way, Bama could have a star-studded offensive unit for years to come.
Who is @Elite11 Finals MVP Keelon Russell targeting for Alabama?

Crimson Tide fans are very familiar with unreal wide receiver groups with Jaylen Waddle, Devonta Smith, and Henry Ruggs III all playing together under Nick Saban.
If Russell had that sort of crew, the Tide could be rolling in more national championships.
